The Ladder.....
This term some children have worked together to make a ladder using timber and screws. A small group of children used tape measures and pencils to mark out the distance between the ladder rungs on two pieces of timber. A good chance to include numeracy in action once again. (EYLF Outcome 5 Numeracy development)

Numeracy and Counting Seeds
Early this term some of the children picked some tomatoes from our vegetable garden and were very interested in the seeds inside. This led to counting the seeds and then exploring a range of fruit to predict if the fruit would have one seed or many seeds.
