Christmas is Coming...

We will close for Christmas holidays at 3pm on Wednesday December 19th and return to the preschool on Wednesday January 30th

We have been rated EXCEEDING again!

We were assessed and rated in September and have been given a rating of EXCEEDING the National Quality Standard in ALL 7 areas!

Visit to Eastwood Heights School

Thanks to the teachers at Eastwood Heights Public School who invited us to come along to their hat parade at the end of term.

The Ladder.....

This term some children have worked together to make a ladder using timber and screws. A small group of children used tape measures and pencils to mark out the distance between the ladder rungs on two pieces of timber. A good chance to include numeracy in action once again. (EYLF Outcome 5 Numeracy development)

Numeracy and Counting Seeds

Early this term some of the children picked some tomatoes from our vegetable garden and were very interested in the seeds inside. This led to counting the seeds and then exploring a range of fruit to predict if the fruit would have one seed or many seeds.

We are all excited about our upcoming excursion to Boston Republic Cafe this week and also happy we have so many parents joining us! Following children's interests and partnering with families are two very important parts of our program so we are happy to engage both in an excursion this week!
