Firstly and above all else, we are a child safe organisation.
St. George’s Preschool is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. This will be the primary focus of our care and decision-making. St.George’s Preschool has zero tolerance for child abuse. St. George’s Preschool is committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives. Particular
attention will be paid to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, as well as the safety of children with a disability. Every person involved in St. George’s Preschool has a responsibility to understand
the important and specific role he/she plays individually and collectively to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all children and young people is at the forefront of all they do and every decision they make.

We are a community based non profit organisation.

The preschool has two groups of children attending during the week.

One group attends for three days on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday (9am – 3pm)

Another group attends the preschool on Thursday and Friday.(8am – 3.25pm)

We provide children with an attractive, interesting environment where they are encouraged to explore and investigate through play.

All children are welcomed into the preschool on an equal basis in line with priority of access guidelines.

We will work with you to ensure your child’s needs and interests are catered for to the best of our ability.

We provide children with large blocks of time to allow them to fully engage in experiences.

We are unique in being a small preschool with only 27 children attending each day.

We currently employ 2 qualified early childhood teachers for each group along with an additional educator currently studying early childhood teaching and a TAFE Qualified assistant, along with a certificate III assistant to cover planning and lunch breaks.

We dedicate a lot of time and effort to ensuring our environment is a special place that is attractive to children and adults alike.

We also have a completely organic raised garden bed.
