Our RAP vision is:
At St. George's Preschool we believe reconciliation is the process of acknowledging and teaching truth in history and embracing, celebrating, and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, perspectives, ways of being and contributions. We are committed to developing a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, traditions, and languages through the development of genuine and respectful relationships with First Nations Peoples and organisations.
We commit to respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives along with fostering inclusion, acceptance and awareness through our physical environment, our learning program and engagement with families and community.
Having our RAP reviewed and published marks the beginning of a deeper and more public commitment to working with the children and our community towards reconciliation through identified actions in our plan.
